My Why
Dear friend,
So, seventh to ninth grade were not the best years of my life. Socially, emotionally, academically, and beyond. In fact, they were pretty crappy. The rest of high school was better. I had some friends, a passion, but I struggled with self-confidence and had unrealistic expectations of myself. I was pretty mean to myself, honestly. This struggle continued into undergrad and beyond. I didn’t really know who I was because I was trying to fit into everyone else’s mold. This effected my relationships and my peace. It wasn’t until grad school that I really hit my stride.

After working with teens and young adults for over twenty years, I have heard this story, or a version of it, over and over again spoken through different hearts. Sometimes it gets resolved in our 20s, but sometimes we are still working on it through our 30s/40s and beyond. Because of this, I offer my support to you. What you have to offer this world is truly unique. I want to help you believe in yourself and life a life that brings you joy and peace.

I earned a bachelors degree in sociology and two graduate degrees (Education/Counseling) from UCF (Go Knights!). I taught or counseled in public, private, and charter schools for over ten years in Florida and North Carolina. Along the way I was a Disney performer and taught with Disney youth programs backstage for thirteen years. In 2021, I opened my private practice in Lake Mary Florida.
I love history, psychology, my family, trees, movies/tv, and doggies.
